All punk lovers know of the band X and how influential they were to the punk movement of the late 1970’s. Yet, where many soft punk rebels fell to the passage of time, X have kept their relevance and have been able to remain inventive with their sound. Since the release of their debut in 1977 they have released tracks that helped shape the music industry. Fans were thrilled when they released their first album in 35 years in 2020, titled, ‘Alphabetland’, and further cemented their reputation as one of the greatest Punk rock bands in history. X are back on the music scene with a tour this year. But, for a special one-off concert they will be joining forces with The English Beat and Save Ferris for an evening that will rock the foundations of Redmond, W.A, and give all rebels a hard dose of punk edginess and noise. On Friday the 14th of July, X will take to the stage with their catalogue of their classic tracks, mixed with their newer material. The English Beat, the Birmingham band that has the goal to include everyone in their music and show fans a great time are excited to be joining X and sharing their music. Their first chart single, a remake of the classic track, ‘Tears of a Clown’, was the first sign of greatness from them. As they released studio albums and created their own unique music, their medley of soul, reggae, pop and punk music created a sound that became an infectious dance rhythm for a generation. Finishing the line-up is the Ska veterans, Save Ferris, who have been a massive influential band during the 1990’s, and are back with a bang on the music scene too, by playing live and releasing their first live record ever, which is a recording of a show at The Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica full of their classic tracks. It will be an amazing concert with three bands that know the true heart, soul and sound of punk, so make sure you are there and book your tickets for 07/14/2023 at the Marymoor Amphitheater
