The four piece band from Saskatchewan, Canada is a folk bluegrass band that emerged in 2013 with self released EP The Ocean Went Mad and We Were to Blame. The band performed extensively across local venues and out of state, receiving praises from audiences for their “knee slapping hoedown” type of bluegrass. The following year, the band followed their EP with their full studio debut album Good Company, which spawned several notable hits like “The Death South,” “Banjo Oddyssey,” and their most popular single, “In Hell I’ll Be in Good Company.” The album impressed its listeners so much so that their next effort Illusion & Doubt soared to number 5 on the Billboard’s Bluegrass chart. The band found much success with their unique take on bluegrass, hence their subsequent albums Sugar & Joy and Chains & Stakes went to number 1 on the said chart.
