Sometimes, dreams do come true. After twenty seven years, the legend, the myth, the sludge metal heavyweights Acid Bath are back on the roads!
On June 21st, the influential band will be playing at the Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA, with a new lineup consisting of the original guitarists Sammy "Pierre" Duet and Mike Sanchez, vocalist Dax Riggs, and new members Zack Simmons of Goatwhore on the drums and Alex Bergeron on the bass.
The tour is a much anticipated tour for fans and metalheads across North America since its announcement back in 2024, with fans in complete disbelief until Riggs confirmed the news via an Instagram post.
In Marymoor Park, Acid Bath will be supported for the must respected Yob, High On Fire, and Witch Mountain.
This is a monumental event not only for one of the most influential bands from the 90s, but also fans of the band that supported Acid Bath since formation and those who discovered their music long after their tragic breakup.

After 27 years of dreaming for their return, the Southern Rock band legends Acid Bath are back on the road!
As part of their new tour’s schedule, Acid Bath will be heading to Redmond’s Marymoor Park on June 21st. They will be supported by three incredible bands — Yob, High On Fire, and Witch Mountain.
ACID BATH is an American sludge metal band, formed in Louisiana in 1991. Their initial active years were short lived and were disbanded in 1997, however, in the span of six year, Acid Bath released two studio albums that became the most influential materials in the sludge metal, doom metal, Southern rock scene. Influenced by Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper and Darkthrone, Acid Bath recorded their first demo, Hymns of the Needle Freak, in 1993 and led the band to a record deal.
Acid Bath debut album, When the Kite String Pops, was released in 1994 and became a hit in the underground music scene. The album draws influence from genres such as death metal, gothic rock, industrial rock and Southern rock. Singles released from the album included "Tranquilized", "Cheap Vodka", and "Toubabo Koomi", which is the band’s only single with a music video.
In 1996, Acid Bath released their second and final studio album, Paegan Terrorism Tactics, with notable single "Paegan Love Song" which draws narrative from the band’s experience with a deliriant named Angel’s Trumpets. Other hits include "Graveflower", "New Corpse", and "Diäb Soulé".
Acid Bath’s success and career was cut short in 1997, when bassist Audie Pitre and his parents were killed by a drunk driver. Finding it difficult to fill Pitre’s shoes, the band decided to end the Acid Bath project.
YOB is a doom metal band from Oregon, America. The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Michael Scheidt in 1996. YOB have released 8 studio albums to date, with music that draws inspiration from Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Soundgarden, and Pink Floyd. YOB have toured with icons such as Tool, Origin, Dak Castle and Ghostride.
HIGH ON FIRE is a heavy metal band formed in 1998, from Oakland, California, and was founded by Sleep’s guitarist Matt Pike. High On Fire have released nine studio albums to date with hits such as "Devilution", “Snakes For The Divine”, “Rumors Of War”, and “Electric Messiah.” in 2019, High On Fire won Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with their single “Electric Messiah.”
WITCH MOUNTAIN is an American doom metal band from Portland, formed in 1997. Since formation, Witch Mountain have released eight studio albums and two EPs. Their music is often described as doom metal and occult rock.
